4th Annual Taps for Ta Ta's

In a strange way, I wasn’t surprised. There was a quiet sense of knowing deep down, but hearing it confirmed still hi hard. Initially, I was told it was grade one and that a lumpectomy would take care of everything. I remember thinking, Okay, I can handle this. But that sense of relief was short-lived. Almost overnight, the diagnosis changed from grade one to stage three. That was a shock I didn't see coming.

From that moment forward, I made a decision: put my head down and just move forward. There really was no other choice.
